About the Position
The SQL Server Programmer is responsible for developing and supporting the SQL database. This position is also responsible for the SQL performance, availability and security.
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience with SQL Server Database Development and Administration
- Strong self-sufficiency and initiative working on Dabase projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be organized, focused and driven toward established deliverable dates
- Strong interpersonal skills; must be a team player
- JavaScript
- CSS
- MySQL
- PHP
- Review and analyze systems specifications to determine whether all required elements have been included. Consults with staff to gather information about program needs, objectives, functions, features, and input and output requirements
- Analyze, define and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs
- Train staff in user departments in any specific procedures necessary to enter data into terminals for computer processing
- Write and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections
- Responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving of SQL
- Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades
- Responsible for implementation and release of database changes according to agreed timescales and costs
- Perform other duties as assigned
